Due to a sudden serious unexpected medical emergency, all rescue dogs on site must go asap. To approved homes only, or other reputable rescues not rescues that slander and post lies on internet forums.
We will not be taking in any new dogs at this time. thank you.
Fostering and Free listing for Dobermans in need of new homes is still available.. we hope our rescue will run in full operation by the end of the year.
We here are all very sickened by this high school BS behaviour happening on the Dobermantalk website regarding this rescue and our breeding site. http://www.dobermantalk.com/doberman-rescue/44236-doberman-rescue-getting-rid-all-dogs.html#post734316 . Although Doberman talk may provide some help to Doberman owners I would take every thing you read with a grain of salt and do your own research. Many other slander threads can be found on this website about breeders who are later banned from replying or defending themselves, even editing or deleting replies. All usually for bogus reasons and all orcastrated by the same group of people like a little high school Clique which includes a few moderators, breeders and high volume users, all the while promoting each other. Explicitly taking everything and anything read or people have replied in defence out of context, poking fun at grammar, spelling and even heritage of the people being bashed.
Two very valuable members of our rescue have been suddenly stricken by illness (cancer & related issues & spinal cord related issue). In respect to them we have decided to put things on hold and support them through some very hard times ahead. We are appalled at some of the statements being made by people have absolutely no real knowledge other than the lies they spread or posted on the forum, of which have been posted by other jealous Ontario breeders and one Doberman rescue. We do plan that we will be up and running in full operation, hopefully by the end of the year.
We have always accepted any dog from anywhere any breeder regardless age, health or temperament. No dogs have ever been put down for behavioural issues and all dogs will eventually find a good home. We have only listed two or three dogs from our own breeding program on the rescue site, these being Nugget and Lexxie. Other than those two dogs and perhaps one other we have had no need to find any dogs of our own bloodlines a new home. They all have great and happy homes. Although we have only had a website for a few years we have been owned Dobermans since 1971 and rescuing since the 1990’s, so how is it someone can say we are hiding behind rescue with the oldest member being in their very late 60’s and involved with breeding German Shepherds then Dobermans since early childhood. We have re-homed many Dobermans over the years from many different breeders from Ontario and Canada we have never posted any ill words about any other breeders regardless that they didn’t want anything to do with their dogs that needed a new home.
We do cooperate with other dog rescues that have good ethics. in actuality, H----yw--d has been the only dobe rescue that we have avoided, only do to the fact that they are in part responsible for rumours. Most of the dogs listed there are fostered and they really have no hands on knowledge or experience of dogs listed on the website. most recently, in particular Zeus, whom was in our care. The owner of Zeus emailed H----yw--d with no reply. We have tried to communicate with them but also without any reply. They have since removed the listing. They don’t even have a phone number listed on the website.
In regards to our breeding, we have been CKC registered breeders since 1976 and always in good standing. Our Dogs/pups are always health tested, tattooed, microchiped, and ckc registered. I don’t know of any other breeders who have been around as long and are still around. If any of the lies posted about us on Dobermantalk were true we surely would not be breeding anymore and would be a spectacle in the public news, but in fact we have been invited by local news channels to speak out against puppy mills and back yard breeders. We also don’t know of any other breeder who can honestly say the same. We provide full support of any kind including free food, healthcare, leashes, bowls blankets, jackets, crate, toys, training, etc and always answer phones and reply to messages and emails. All our dogs and rescues are provided the highest quality of care 24-7, even holidays.
Some dogs from other known Ontario breeders whom are
unwilling to take in their own dogs come here for rescue and have many health
issues (Gastric Dilatation, Wobblers Syndrome, Von
Willebrand Disease
and Chronic Hepatitis, etc). We know where those dogs came from, but we never
spell it out. We look after them, train, make them better, healthier after
spending sometimes thousands of dollars in Vet bills we spend the time find each
and every one of them all a great loving home. We do this all here hands on and
with out the help of other Doberman rescues. This has always been our goal; only
now at this time we have written dogs must go ASAP, has been taken out of
context by the users of the forum with motives. As well to all the other
threads, they are just full of lies by the same group of people. We are
considering a lawsuit to have these people brought to justice.

Hi.
I've been checking your site periodically for some time, and wanted to let you know how saddened I am at the crisis you're currently facing.
I foster for All Breed Canine Rescue in London, but have always had a soft spot for Dobermans, so I often checked you guys out. In fact, I called about Stella a day or so after she was adopted. You can imagine my joy and surprise when I met her with her new owner at my local dog park! She's truly a beauty!
As far as the crap on the chat sites goes, I think you have to just keep saying to yourselves "what goes around, comes around" and maintain your standards of excellence. People like that get found out eventually - they always do.
Here's hoping for quick and full recovery!
Be good to yourselves,
Barb
