| A dog Named Zee. Hit by a car and
Missing for & months. http://www.facebook.com/al

Hit by a car and
Reunited after 7 months
Lawrence lost sight of
his dog June 6th 2010 on a routine walk near a local Hamilton
golf course. He waited two hours for his dog to return without any luck,
so the search is on. He even came back the very next day to see if any
sign of him. Lawrence made every attempt to try and find his buddy named
Zee canvassing with flyers, internet ads and contacting local Animal
control/Shelters/SPCA. Days and weeks go by without any news about Zee. As
months go by without his buddy, Lawrence decides to adopt a rescue and
after some time he finds a good match named Apollo. Months go by now with
Apollo and Zee is though sadly to have drowned in the local lake.
It is now Monday
January 3rd 2011 almost 7 months later. Lawrence was paged to
call Richard from the www.OntarioDobeRescu.ca
regarding his dog, so of course he calls. The conversation goes something
like this; Richard- hello I called and left you a message regarding your
dog. Lawrence- ok what about
him? Richard- Well, I have him here with me and we have taken him to a vet
for x-ray and care it seems he has been hit by a car and is suffering from
a broken leg. Lawrence- (confused) I’m sorry but that’s not my dog. My
dog is fine. You must be mistaken. Richard- (confused) oh but this dog
been scanned for a microchip and seems to be registered to you. Lawrence-
OMG that’s my dog Zee!!! He’s been missing for 7 months. Where is he,
I’m coming to get him right away.
Two hours later
Lawrence and Zee were reunited after 7 months apart. It was happy times to
seem them reunite. Zee has been through a lot in his four years but he is
defiantly a survivor and now finally back home. In the upcoming days Zee
will be undergoing surgery to re-set his very broken leg which may have
been broken for more than a week.
Zee was found lying in
a ditch off the side of the road late Tuesday before New Years by a
gentleman who happened to be riding his ATV because he was laid off from
his job. The man picked up the dog and drove home to see what he came do
for this poor dog that was obviously very injured. He made the dog
comfortable and started calling around for someone to help a treat this
dog. He called around for days and was eventually told to contact the
local SPCA who then referred him to another organisation, and in every
instance the man did not like what he heard regarding what will be done
with the dog. Answering sometime like; you don’t want to know…. well
then enough of that. Now he is desperately trying to find treatment for
the dog, asking friends and anybody who would be willing to help. By now
it’s Thursday very concerned the man does a internet search for a
Doberman Rescue and found us. We were the first and only one to call back
and willing to take the dog in on such short notice over New Years. Not
having a car the gentleman arranged to have a friend drive him and the dog
out to us for immediate care. We took him set him up until our appointment
for Monday the first point when we could get a vet to have look him over.
Now
Zee is at home with Lawrence at last and has a new roommate Apollo. Zee is
awaiting surgery and has a long road to recovery. All of us here at www.OntarioDobeRescue.ca
wish Zee a quick recovery. |
