Registered Breeders of Quality Dobermans Since 1976 and
have always been involved in local area Rescue. It has come to our attention that in these
hard times many more animals are in need of rescue, so we are reaching out to
all of Ontario. Being breed specific it usually isn’t difficult to find all our rescues a suitable new loving home. We have recently moved the Rescue program from our affiliate
Breeder site www.thedoberman.ca , to a
new site dedicated only to rescues www.OntarioDobeRescue.ca
. please let us know of any errors or broken links. thanks Our ongoing mission is to Help the flow of unwanted or abandoned Dobermans to get a second chance at a good life. We try to accomplish by providing a lost n found service, education, adoptions, and communicating with other animal rescue shelters. We assist lost n found dogs in finding their way home or to find a new loving home.
We have a very simple non destruction policy and believe that all Doberman, no matter what their age should get a second chance at a new life. Staffed by volunteers, we are dedicated to rescuing Dobermans from shelters and to being a part of the solution to pet overpopulation. We believe spaying and neutering family pets is the primary way to reduce the number of homeless animals.We are located 35-40 min north of Toronto, on Hwy #9. 15 min west of the Hwy 400, near Tottenham. 416-562-5019 The cost of adopting a Doberman is generally around $300 and up, usually includes spay or neutering, health exam updating shots, boarding & admin fees. not including our time and travel expenses. Intact Dobermans are Not available through our Rescue Program. A copy of all heath records and papers available will be provided to new owners. Adoption
fees can vary per dog depending directly on veterinary costs including spay or
neuter, updating shots, medications and health records. A small
administrative, boarding, care and handling fee is also included in the total
cost that goes directly to help rescue Dobes from shelters. All new rescues are Vet checked and will have a 10 day minimal stay in our care before they can be released for adoption, They are also available for viewing during this time. Some new rescues may need some more time in our refined training program. Pick-ups and Drop-offs Available. *Once
the new rescue is in our care the training starts. It is critical to determine
its character and its ability to adapt to a new loving home. All persons that wish to rescue a Doberman must complete a ADOPTION RESCUE APPLICATION that is also available during your appointment or fax it to 905-880-1747. or email to look@thedoberman.ca Doberman Surrender / Release Form Donations are always welcome, in fact that is how we are able to continue rescue Dobes from shelters. We accept your time, monetary donations as well as anything that can be used for and by dogs. New or used dog equipment welcome, such as dog houses, leash, collar, crate, dog bed, doggy seatbelt, Doggy toys, treats or a bag of food, food dish or water bucket, grooming supplies, fence materials etc.
